In March 2026, my street photograph was selected for a digital exhibition at the prestigious Photo North Festival in Leeds, UK — one of the UK's leading celebrations of photography.

The image, which received an impressive 1632 community votes on GuruShots in their "Street Photographer of the Year" challenge, was displayed as part of the festival's vibrant programme from 13th to 15th March 2026 at The Carriageworks Theatre.

Titled "Emergence from the Shadows," this candid portrait captures a quietly commanding presence — a bearded man with a weathered face and steady gaze, standing in a tiled doorway like a modern sentinel. Shot in natural light with raw, unposed authenticity, it reflects my ongoing fascination with the unspoken stories and quiet dignity found in everyday street encounters.

This recognition from the global GuruShots community and its showcase at Photo North marks a proud milestone in my street photography journey. Huge thanks to everyone who voted and supported the work.
